Otaku Club is designed as a space where young people from 13 to 17 years of age can socialize, connect with peers of similar interests and through creative activities and conversations get to know Japanese culture more closely.
The club will be held every other Wednesday (on even dates) from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Pula Youth Centre.
The club's program will include a variety of creative workshops, quizzes, discussions and collaborative activities related to Japanese animation and popular culture. Young people will be able to express themselves creatively by creating their own stickers, illustrations and other creative projects, getting to know the basics of digital drawing and making their own cosplay props. More relaxed activities such as karaoke nights and socializing are also planned, with discussions on topics such as Japanese mythology, school life of young people in Japan and contemporary J-pop and J-rock music.
Special emphasis is placed on socializing, creative expression and exchange of interests, as well as creating a relaxed environment in which young people can meet other lovers of Japanese culture and explore topics that interest them together.
